Hello everybody,

I have my funds completely stuck, after bridging them from ETH (ERC-20) to LITMUS (LIT), using the apps.litentry.com/transfer portal. I used an address with a Ledger hardware wallet attached (for security reasons), and this seems to be the issue. There was no information available that ledger accounts are not supported.

In other words, my funds are stuck in an account with a Ledger attached since December 2022. I cannot transfer them or bridge them back to ETH. When trying to bridge them back, the error “There is no known Ledger app available for this chain” appears, so I hoped that there will be an app one day. By now, there is an app that claims to interact with all parachains, but it still does not work. I tried it with the polkadot{.js} extension, Talisman and SubWallet.

I am opening this proposal with the help of Megan (thank you!) and strongly believe in proposing a motion to both the council and the wider LIT-community to support the asset rescue effort. I was made aware of a similar proposal that has passed the referendum (using some content from it for this proposal, because I am not a native English speaker, hope that is ok).

Although the extra signature can not prove your proccessing of Litentry ledge wallet, we think it is still justified to help bail out your assets.

After this proposal gets into the democracy queue (since it is not submitted with Preimage, it will fail), we will propose a balance transfer of addresses above, which should take around 11 days before your assets recover.
